About Walk For Them
Walk For Them is a community charity walk/run (4-8 km) created to raise awareness, bring communities together, and stand up for those without a voice. Funds raised support local programs focused on vulnerable children and families.
Our Mission
To unite people through movement - walking in solidarity to raise awareness and funds for local organisations that protect, support, and empower survivors of gender-based violence.
What to Expect
Well-marked routes, refreshment stations, medics on site, sweep vehicles, music and family-friendly activities at the finish area.
Who Can Join
Open to participants aged 9 years and above - walkers, runners, families, and groups are all welcome. Choose between a 4km or 8km route. Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Race Rules & Participant Info
Please review the race guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable event for everyone.
- Please bring proof of payment when collecting your race number.
- Post-race hydration will be provided at the finish area.
- All participants must wear ASA-approved KZNA 2024 licenses and relevant age category tags on the front and back of the vest or crop top.
- No refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
- Participants must obey marshals, traffic officials, and race officials at all times.
- All participants will receive a T-shirt, string bag, and a >meal voucher.
- All participants will receive a medal upon crossing the finish line.
By registering for the event, you acknowledge and agree to abide by all race rules and safety instructions provided by officials on the day.
